LUBEGARD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) PROTECTANT is a product designed for use in all automatic transmissions and manual transmissions requiring an ATF, including heavy-duty transmissions such as Allison. It is compatible with all synthetic or mineral-based DEXRON, MERCON, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) ATFs, except for Ford Type F ATF and CVT applications.

Lubegard is formulated to control heat and is particularly effective in today's front-wheel-drive vehicles, which tend to run at higher temperatures. The product contains LXE (Liquid Wax Ester) Technology and its derivatives, as well as base oils and conventional additives. Lubegard is designed to raise the thermal and oxidative stability of automatic transmission fluids, ensuring that they do not thin out, pyrolize, burn, or react with oxygen to form deposits when operating at elevated temperatures.

The use of LUBEGARD ATF Protectant will not cause clutch friction upset or slippage. For normal applications, it is recommended to add 1 oz. (29.6 mL) per quart (Liter) of ATF to the total transmission capacity (including the torque converter) with the motor idling in park. It is important not to overfill the transmission.
