Fuel Filter Drain Viton Valve Seal Kit for 7.3L (1998-2003)

Alliant Power's Fuel Filter Drain Valve Seal Kit (Viton) is designed for late model 7.3L Power Stroke engines, covering applications from 1998 to 2003. This kit includes the necessary seals contained in the F81Z-9C065-AA kits, addressing a common issue reported with "fuel in the engine valley" on these engines.

While there is no definitive proof that the leaks are directly related to the introduction of Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) fuel, some have speculated that the timing of these issues may not be a coincidence. In most cases, resolving the leaks requires the removal of the filter assembly and replacement of the drain valve o-rings.

To facilitate a complete repair, Alliant Power recommends replacing not only the two drain valve o-rings, but also the remaining three o-rings and the fuel line connector grommets, as the fuel lines will have been disconnected during the process.

To simplify the sourcing of these various seals, Alliant Power offers the AP0007 Fuel Filter Drain Valve Seal Kit. This kit includes all the necessary components to complete the repair, with the exception of van applications, which are not compatible.

The kit utilizes Viton o-rings, known for their excellent heat resistance (up to 400°F/200°C) and superior resistance to aggressive fuels and chemicals. Viton is a widely specified fluoroelastomer, with global ISO 9000 and ISO/TS 16949 registration.
